World champions, European champions, Olympic medallists, great up-and-coming talents, as well as active legends of individual countries. The revolutionary Hell Boxing Kings project brought under one roof the famous faces of the fight scene from all over the old continent. The million-dollar reward and the opportunity to get a strong partner to kick-start a great career attracted thousands of interested people. But the second stage tournament in Miskolc, Hungary, contained only 160 places.

The chance to shine a spotlight on your personality is far from routine. The revolutionary Hell Boxing Kings show is opening the door to the big world for boxers from all over Europe. „When I started, there wasn't even the internet. Further proof that I'm an old dinosaur,“ says 2009 World Boxing Foundation World Champion Tomi "KID" Kovács with a smile, referring to his early days when similar opportunities to make it big were a figment of the imagination.

„This is a huge opportunity for everyone. As a coach, president and father of Slovak boxing I am extremely grateful that we can be part of such a project. The athletes can make themselves visible in the competition of ten countries and assert themselves on the international scene,“ the former WBO European title holder highlights the fantastic benefits of the current tournament with fabulous prizes. After all, the top quartet will take home a cash prize of 100 thousand dollars.

 Everyone applied!

Among the dozens of participants there are several protagonists with a chilling past. Boxing was able to pull them up from the absolute bottom, was a comfort to them in difficult times and shaped their personalities into what we know today. „I was particularly surprised that fighters from other industries were interested in participating. Everyone from hobby boxers to MMA fighters to kickboxers applied,“ says the president of the Slovak Boxing Federation. The native of Galanta did not hesitate to accept the offer to become one of the ambassadors of the Hell Boxing Kings project. There will be several names in action, who are improving under his guidance. „Four guys have qualified from me. Although I didn't want to mention specific faces, we have Tibor Varga, who has been pulled out of retirement by the project. He simply said he wanted to give it a try. He came in great shape, he's interesting and maybe the hoe will fire,“ he concludes with one of the remarkable stories. The second phase of the million-dollar show is currently in full swing. The DVTK Aréna in Miskolc hosts a load of dozens of confrontations over the course of a few days. We will get to know the first advancers at the end of the current week.
