Meeting of Legends – Zsolt Erdei vs. Attila Végh

On December 20, at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna, we will once again witness a historic moment in sports. On the HBK gala stage, two true legends, champions from two different martial arts disciplines, will step into the ring against each other.

40-year-old Attila Végh, former Kempo and MMA world champion, is one of the greatest figures in his sport, who has made history with his fearless style and devastating power. Although he became internationally known in the MMA world, he has continuously honed his hand techniques, allowing him to move confidently in the boxing ring as well.

Facing him is 51-year-old Zsolt Erdei, known to the Hungarian audience simply as “The Bird.” Erdei won both European and World titles in amateur boxing, as well as an Olympic bronze medal. As a professional, he claimed the WBO world title in 2004 and later the WBC title, becoming one of the most significant figures in Hungarian boxing. After more than a decade, he returns to the ring to show once again that his legendary technique and speed still provide an unforgettable experience for the audience.

Two different eras, two different styles, but a shared denominator: the passion for fighting and the champion mentality. Zsolt Erdei’s precision and refined boxing technique will clash with Attila Végh’s brutal power and relentless fighting spirit.

This encounter goes beyond a simple match: it is a battle of respect, humility toward the sport, and commitment to the fans.
